Crown restoration is often needed to repair damaged trees that have been topped, storm damaged, diseased, mistletoe, vines or moss. We repair the crown of the tree first by removing all dead or damaged limbs. Mistletoe, moss and vines are removed as necessary. All necessary cuts are made back into the branch locations that are still alive and have green growth. Most tree services will not offer crown restoration instead they will insist on a complete tree removal. At Specialty Tree Care we have been repairing trees for over 60 years and will advise you by our experience whether or not crown restoration pruning is good for your tree. We understand that some people do not want to lose their trees and we are here to help. After the Crown has established new growth we can return one or two years later to prune your tree again to keep it healthy and looking good.
